For this set of photos I decided to capture portraits in a different environment than the studio. While taking these photos I wanted the model to look comfortable with her surroundings. My favourite photo is the one with my model sitting on the steps I like the depth of field along with the composition which adds to the interest in the photo.

In Blossfeldt's work he has line used in the photos to add detail. The photos are very simple but have a lines within making them a lot more interesting. 2. How has Karl Blossfeldt photographed his still life object(s) in an interesting and unique way? His still life objects are captured in an interesting way in the sense that he used more close-up composition and captured only particular parts of the plants. 3. What about Karl Blossfeldt’s still life photography that makes it appear timeless in nature? His work appears timeless because his black and white style is not only very consistent but it does not allow you to assume what the colour quality/ balance of the photo were present. 4. What kind of mood/feeling do you get from Karl Blossfeldt’s still life photographs and why? Blossfeldt's still life photographs give me a serene mood because they are not only very simple but also don't have vibrant colours. Photo of the Week- For this set of photos I chose to capture fall around the community. My goal was to capture a variety of the details that are present. My favourite photo of the set is the one with the street signs because of the multiple subjects and variety of colours. The photo was taken while I was waiting for our annual Terry Fox to Run to start.
Photo of the Week- For this set of photos I decided to use photos from my summer trip to Europe. On this trip we went to southern Spain and France along with England. I chose these three photos from the thousands I took because I liked both the composition and lighting. When taking these photos my main goal was to be able to get the settings right when shooting in manual. The big idea behind the set was to gather accurate representations of the architecture and dynamic surrounding me. Overall, I am very happy with my photos because I think the allowed me too gain a better understanding of all the components that contribute to strong photo.
I interpret this quote as a way some photographers may describe why they take photos. Our way of capturing images can say a lot about us, although we may not realize it at the moment. The style of which a photo is taken can reflect our emotions and the way it is edited is another contributing factor to how photos provide a self understanding.
