Social Justice
"Society judges too much based on appearance."
I created this photo to portray a large issue of judgement. In this image I have captured the idea that society has become to busy focusing on appearance. I believe that in this photo I have showed how someone can be rather natural while rather wearing makeup, it should not be to ones concern how much makeup someone is wearing to look 'pretty', while in the meantime they really do not look that different without it. In conclusion society is too busy judging how one looks with makeup rather than focusing on the beauty they portray without any at all.
Music
Song- Listen to the Man, By George Ezra
In the photos I have created above I tried to capture the message in the song of ''listen to the whose lovin' you. '' To me this meant listen to the man whom has more experience rather those who think they know without the experience that this man has over them. I chose to use black and white as I felt that it captured the mood best without the distractions of all the different colours in each photograph. I feel these photos capture this since here is an elderly man providing his wisdom to younger people while still capturing him in his natural environment.
Culture-
Bookworm
For this photo I decided to capture the idea of someone whom loves to read and probably spends a lot of their time in the library. I chose to describe this person as a bookworm; to me a bookworm is someone whom most likely spends most of or all their spare time with their nose in a book. I see this as a culture as there is a large population of people of all ages out there whom have a fetish for particular genres of books.
Famous Photographer
Sarah Silver
For these photos we were inspired by Sarah’s less stock looking photos. We chose these photos because we felt they displayed the photos that we chose as or inspiration but in a unique way by keeping them reasonable since our model is younger than the one in the original image. We composed these photos using the studio light to create a more dramatic effect, drawing attention to her facial features that were emphasized with makeup.
Typology
For my typology I decided to do keys. I chose this because keys contain a lot more detail than one may see with the quick glance while opening a lock. In these photos I aimed to capture the detail on all parts of the keys. I believe that a wide variety of different keys is displayed in the above typology, and the real detail is captured in a different lighting situations.
