Opposites
Rough and Soft
I like this photo because it shows a natural type of personality. I was inspired to take this photo because I thought it would a nice photo for my my studio portrait series. I tried to make it more powerful by enhancing the shadow on the left hand side. Next time I may try setting up my lights differently to create a different mood. I learned that planning the types of photos you would like to create to an extent is important .
I like this photo because it is unique but has a significant meaning once it is well thought about. I was inspired to take this photo because when I was thinking about environmental portraits I kept thinking about the phrase 'tree hugger' . Next time I might try to take this photo using more props such as a tripod and/or reflector.
I like this photo because of the attention it displays to the detail in the foreground and background. I was inspired to take this photo because I have seen many similar photos to this in the past but wanted to try and create my own. Next time I will try taking this photo in different types of weather conditions.
I like this photo because of its composure and its use of the rule of thirds. I was inspired to take this photo because of my series of environmental portraits for starters, and I also figured since a vast majority people become and inverted when put in the eyes of the public. I enhanced the details in this photo to make it more powerful. Next time I will try taking this same photo from several different angles to make it more interesting. This project taught me how important planning and time management are in order to obey deadlines.
I like this photo because of the emphasis the branches supply to the background, bringing out the blue sky. I was inspired to take this photo during the spring when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Imade this photo more powerful by allowing the sun have a presence in the photo by not using a flash.
I like this photo because of the detail and lushness of the branches that is captured in the frame. I was inspired to take this photo because the holiday season is approaching very soon and it reminded me of a Christmas tree. Next time I would try to take this photo with a macro lens to capture more clear detail with more in focus in the foreground of the photo.
I like this photo because of the distinct features within in it. I was inspired to take this photo when I saw the colour of the water as I could not believe how bright it was. Next time I will try to include different subjects within my frame.
I like this photo because it has a nice shallow depth of field. I was inspired to take this photo because it was not fully bloomed yet therefore making for more evenly spread subject within the frame. I took this photo like a macro shot to make it more powerful. Next time I might try taking this photo from a different angle.
Levitation/Escape
In this photo the model trying to escape the restrictions of society and get to the outside world where the future is unknown. I created this photo by setting up my tripod in a appropriate spot to where I wanted my model to be with the backdrop. After arranging my framing I got the model to position herself while standing on the step ladder. Once the photo with the step ladder was taken I took a photo of just the background. Later on I combined the two images using photoshop to create the slight levitation effect.
